You'll work closely with developers, property managers, HOAs, and other decision-makers to identify utility submetering and billing solutions that align with their operational and financial goals. This position plays a key role in expanding the company's market presence while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure a seamless customer experience from proposal through implementation.Responsibilities include:Develop and grow an assigned sales territory through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and market researchBuild and maintain relationships with developers, property managers, HOAs, municipal utility districts, and property ownersIdentify client needs and recommend customized utility submetering and billing solutionsManage the full sales cycle, including outreach, presentations, proposals, contract negotiations, and closingConduct in-person and virtual meetings, presentations, and site visits with prospective clientsMaintain accurate sales activity, forecasting, and pipeline management within Salesforce CRMProvide weekly pipeline updates and monthly sales forecasts to leadershipCollaborate with internal departments including field services, accounting, purchasing, onboarding, and leadership teamsMonitor local market trends, industry developments, and competitor activityRepresent the company at trade shows, networking functions, and industry association eventsPrepare specification compliance matrices and ensure proposal and order compliance standards are maintainedSupport the Vice President of Sales with additional duties and strategic initiatives as neededRequirements and Qualifications:3+ years of B2B sales experience & consultative approachStrong experience hitting and exceeding quotaExperience keeping deal moving when sales cycle stretches 3-6 monthsExperience working with senior-level decision-makersStrong relationship-building and interpersonal communication skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesSelf-starter with strong initiative and accountabilityProficiency with CRM platforms, preferably SalesforceAbility to travel throughout the assigned territory and attend occasional out-of-area events or meetingsAbout the Hiring Company:Our client is an established provider of utility submetering and utility billing solutions serving multifamily, HOA, and commercial property markets.
