Associate Attorney

Our client, a well-established national law firm with offices across New York, California, and New Jersey is seeking a litigation associate to join their growing team. This role focuses on defending medical malpractice and general liability matters and offers the opportunity to work on complex cases in a collaborative litigation team.Key ResponsibilitiesHandle medical malpractice and general liability defense matters from initial intake through resolutionManage day-to-day case strategy and workflowDraft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other litigation documentsConduct legal research and prepare case analysesAttend court conferences, hearings, and depositionsCommunicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counselOversee and manage all phases of discoveryQualifications1 - 5 years of litigation practice experience in a law firm setting; prior experience in medical malpractice or insurance defense litigation strongly preferredJ.D. from an accredited law schoolActive admission to the New York State BarStrong legal writing, analytical, and communication skillsExperience handling civil litigation mattersAbility to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with litigation workflow, case management, and legal project management is a plusThis is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level litigation associate seeking hands-on experience and meaningful responsibility within a national firm environment.
