Medical Director – Hospital Medicine/Hospitalist — San Antonio, TXUniversity Health is seeking a  board-certified Internal Medicine physician to serve as Medical Director of Hospital Medicine .This physician leader will provide clinical, operational, and quality oversight for the hospitalist program while partnering with hospital administration to deliver high-quality inpatient care.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical leadership, mentorship, and oversight for hospitalistsLead recruitment, onboarding and schedulingStandardize care processes, rounding models, and handoffsOversee quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiativesCollaborate with ancillary services and hospital leadershipManage staffing plans, productivity, and resource utilizationParticipate in policy development, governance, and compliance activitiesConstruction is well underway on two new full-service, state-of-the-art hospitals and two multi-specialty health centers by University Health—the largest expansion in our more than 100-year history. Opening beginning in late 2025, these new locations on the South Side, East Side, and far Northeast Side of San Antonio will deliver comprehensive health services to rapidly growing areas with limited access to specialty, inpatient, emergency, diagnostic, and surgical care.
