Opportunity: RN - CCU Job Details: - Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM - Full-time position with every other weekend requirement - No on-call responsibilities - No floating required - Maintain 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio for ICU patients and 4:1 ratio for IMCU patients - Provide care for patients with DKA, acute respiratory failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator patients - Work in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU setting - Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation - Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness - Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided - Provide patient and family education as needed - One year of Critical Care experience preferred but will accept new graduates - Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred - Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA - Must hold RN License in state of employment or compact state - Attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire - Complete department-specific competency validation and annual requirements - Temp to perm opportunity available Facility: This healthcare facility operates a mixed cardiac and medical intensive care unit providing critical care services to patients with complex medical conditions.
