Construction Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an attorney to join its Business, Property, and Construction Law Practice Group in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in public procurement and contract negotiation, with a focus on representing school and community college districts. Duties Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including construction and professional services agreements. Handle bid packages, procurement documents, and bid protests. Manage claims related to stop payment notices, change orders, and payment disputes. Collaborate on litigation matters as needed. Work independently and as part of a team on diverse legal issues. Requirements Minimum of five years of relevant legal experience. Experience with public procurement and contract negotiation. Familiarity with construction law and public entity representation preferred. Admission to the California State Bar. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications California State Bar admission. Skills Excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills. Ability to prioritize tasks with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
