Details Short-term acute care hospital setting with 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center Medical/Surgical unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-07:00) 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period Floating between all facilities within the state is required No on-call responsibilities Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active TX or compact RN license currently in hand Current BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required Epic EMR proficiency required At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility Licensed nursing personnel (RN, LVN) are required to wear solid navy blue scrubs; print tops are not acceptable Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; all RTO requests must be submitted upfront, as post-offer requests may be denied Refusal to float between facilities may result in assignment termination Free parking is available in designated employee/visitor surface parking lots American Traveler Job ID P-688393.
