Job DescriptionOWL Services' Assistant Construction Foreman is a highly motivated, self-starter who can work independently as well as in a fast-paced team environment. The Petroleum Assistant Construction Foreman will be tasked to assist the Construction Foreman leading, managing, and coordinate the construction and installation of petroleum equipment.Essential Job Functions:Co-Lead with Construction Foreman to delegate tasks to construction workers and sub-contractors. Building experience such as a foreman. Training of laborers to ensure the best skills are applied by each worker and ensure installation requirements are followed accurately and efficiently. Ensure safe work practices are always followed. Ensure safe housekeeping practices are always followed. Assist Foreman with daily tasks and direct workers on assigned tasks. Verify accuracy and compliance of tasks in progress to comply with codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements. Document daily activities, material/parts used, testing, inspections, and visitors. Create and maintain positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, suppliers, and sub-contractors to maintain a timely flow of supplies, materials, and sub-contractor workWork with concrete, framing, pouring, mixing, and finishing. Must be able to operate heavy equipment to excavate ditches, tank holes and install equipment. Ability to travel to job sites (may require overnight travel)All reasonable requests by managementRequirements:Minimum 3 years’ experience with petroleum constructionEquipment operation experience with operating Skid-Steer Loaders, Excavators, and Backhoes. Minimum high school diploma or equivalentRequires the ability to acquire state specific AST/UST certificationsStrong communication skillsOvertime possible; occasional out of town jobsMust successfully complete pre-employment testing to include but not limited to: skills testing and pre-employment background checks as well as drug/alcohol testingMust possess a valid Driver’s License (CDL A preferred but not required)Must be able to pass a DOT physicalAbility to lift 50 lbsAbility to work outside during all types of weatherThe specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be all-inclusive.
