1st Shift Production Associate - MAD

Purpose: Perform all tasks involved in the production of JBC Technologies, Inc. products. This includes laminating, slitting, die-cutting and assembly work with various materials including foams, rubbers, metals, graphite, cork-fibers, and fiberglass. Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesSets-up and operate any shop machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelinesReads and interprets blueprints, drawings, Job Orders, routers and diagrams to select dies, position, and secure machineryAdheres to operating procedures/instructionsAdjusts machine settings to complete tasks per specification to run job orders accurately and maximize productivityDetect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisorsMaintain a clean and safe work station; follow shop 5S systemEmbrace a team attitude that aligns with JBC’s Core Values Accurately record labor and material usage in ERP systemFollow all JBC policies and procedures Other responsibilities as assigned by managementQualificationsEducation and Experience:High school diploma/GED or equivalent 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing/shipping environmentKnowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, expectations, and procedures in manufacturingJob Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesAbility to read and perform basic math skills including countingAbility to use various tools including tape measure, dial caliper, and other hand toolsMust have a good command of the English language, both written and spokenBasic reading skills for understanding drawings, Job Orders, and specsAble to follow directionsStrong manual dexterityPhysical DemandsLight to moderate physical effort required on a constant basisMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsRequired to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility for an entire shiftPersonal Protective EquipmentProtective equipment not required but available for nuisance dust Protective equipment, such as gloves, required for specific tasksWork Schedule Normal Schedule –1st Shift - Monday through Thursday, 6AM - 4PM2nd Shift – Monday through Thursday, 4PM - 2AMOvertime scheduled as needed and may be mandatory on Fridays and SaturdaysWork EnvironmentWork performed in a plant/production environmentContains any number of elements including but not limited to fiberglass/insulation material, dust, fumes, and noise.Must be able to work as part of a team or independently with limited supervision
