Our small, close-knit team supports a fast-moving owner who has high expectations and deep loyalty to the people who earn his trust.We are hiring an Office Manager — someone who can lead from the middle, build order out of complexity, and serve as the steady operational bridge between the owner and the team.This is a fully on-site position in Columbia, SC.What You'll DoServe as the first point of contact for all office staff — handling questions, routing tasks, and resolving issues before they reach the ownerTranslate the owner's priorities and directives into clear, actionable direction for the teamOwn daily office operations across multiple business entities including scheduling, task tracking, and team coordinationMaintain and improve shared systems: server organization, calendar management, password management, and internal communicationOversee HR coordination: employee handbooks, onboarding and offboarding, personnel records, and basic compliance across all entitiesBuild and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to document institutional knowledge and ensure continuityCoordinate with the owner on travel logistics, personal scheduling, and business correspondence as neededIdentify process gaps and implement practical, simple solutions without being askedPerform other duties as assigned — in a multi-entity environment, flexibility is essentialWhat We're Looking For5+ years of experience in office management, executive assistance, or operationsProven experience supporting a senior executive or business owner in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skills — you are clear, concise, and professionalHigh proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); QuickBooks familiarity a plusDemonstrated ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretionExperience building administrative processes or filing systems from the ground upComfortable making decisions independently within appropriate scope — you don't need to be told twice and you know when to escalateValid driver's license requiredPreferred but not required:Experience in a multi-entity, family office, or small business environmentHR coordination experience (handbooks, onboarding, compliance)Background in finance, real estate, agriculture, or restaurant operationsYou Will Thrive Here If:You have worked for a demanding, high-energy leader before and found it energizing rather than exhaustingYou are the person others turn to when things are unclear or chaoticYou take ownership without being asked and follow through without being remindedYou understand instinctively what is confidential and treat it that wayYou find satisfaction in making a team run smoothly, even when the credit goes elsewhereCompensation & DetailsFull-time, on-site — Columbia, SCMonday–Friday, standard business hoursCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceStart date: immediate upon right candidate identified
