Manufacturing Operations Manager

About EASEmpire Additive Solutions is a production polymer additive manufacturing microfactory built around HP Multi Jet Fusion. We serve customers in orthotics and prosthetics, robotics, semiconductor equipment, and med-tech who need committed delivery windows, consistent finishing, and documentation that ships with every order. We are in standup phase, equipment is installed, and pilots are active. This is a ground-floor role with real authority from day one.Role SummaryOwn day-to-day floor execution. Keep work moving, WIP controlled, finishing flowing, shipments disciplined, and the facility safe and audit-ready. The Applications Engineer / Technical Lead owns process and build quality. You own flow, scheduling, coverage, and accountability. This is a floor-present role, not a desk job.Primary ResponsibilitiesRun the daily OTW risk review: next 72 hours, blockers, station priorities, finishing queue, and shipments due vs. shipped.Own floor execution from print release through depowder/blast, vapor smoothing, finishing, pack-out, and shipment. Step in on coverage gaps when needed.Enforce WIP limits by lane. Express, Rapid, Standard, and Program windows are commitments, not estimates.Maintain the Program capacity calendar: reserved windows, cadence commitments, and conflict surfacing before they reach the customer.Provide schedule feasibility sign-off on quotes, bookings, rebooks, and expedite decisions.Own at-risk shipment escalation and recovery planning. Communicate early with options, not status theater.Own outbound execution: pack-out checklists, tracking recorded, customer notified same day.Hire, train, and hold operators accountable. Build cross-training so no critical step depends on one person.Own EHS, 5S, PPE/SDS discipline, and audit-ready facility standards.Maintain accurate step logging and traveler discipline in Airtable-based job tracking. What This Role Does Not OwnMagics build strategy, DFM standards, or technical print-readiness decisions. Those belong to the AE / Technical Lead.Pricing, quote construction, Program terms, commercial exceptions, or new customer relationships. The CEO owns all commercial decisions. Your role on quotes is schedule feasibility only.Uncontrolled changes to build recipes, finish classes, or CTQ definitions.First 90 DaysDaily OTW review is live on real data. WIP is visible by lane with aging rules and escalation triggers.Finishing, pack-out, and ship confirmation run on standard work, not heroics.EHS and 5S discipline is established. At-risk jobs surface early and are communicated cleanly. What We Need4+ years in manufacturing operations or production management with a real OTD/OTW metric you improved: baseline, action, result.Proven experience running a production schedule against committed dates, not lead-time ranges.Hands-on comfort in a small shop. Strong written communication for escalations and customer updates.Local to the Hudson Valley / I-84 corridor. On-site from day one, no exceptions.Experience with Airtable, HubSpot, or comparable production tracking tools.Helpful but Not RequiredContract manufacturing, job shop, or service bureau background.ISO 9001 familiarity or experience managing a dirty-to-clean process flow.Additive manufacturing exposure. Useful context, not a gate. Not a Fit IfYou want hybrid or remote. You cannot provide OTD numbers. Your background is warehouse/logistics only without owning production schedule and quality gates. You treat documentation as overhead.Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Health insurancePaid time offWork Location: In person
