We do not see malignant hematology or oncology in this clinic. Traveler Experience: Clinic WILL ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: Nurses in the clinic room patients, perform phlebotomy, central line care, assist with bone marrow biopsies, vaccinations, EKG, phone triage, facilitate patients to be scheduled appropriately for infusions, patient education/phone calls, and case management. She may be working with both the malignant and non-malignant hematology teams. Phlebotomy Skills are a MUST Certs: BCLS Outpatient Clinic Classic Hematology - (non-malignant) This Clinic is a classical hematology (bleeding disorders/hemophilia/anemias/sickle cell/DVTs). We do not see malignant hematology or oncology in this clinic. Most likely will not be working with the malignant hematology population RNs ARE REQUIRED TO BRING THEIR OWN STETHOSCOPE PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Skills: Chemotherapy and infusions are NOT done in this setting. We do not administer chemo or infusions in the clinic. Prefer oncology clinic experience Certs: ONS, BMTCN, OCN, JOB DETAILS: Average Daily Census: 70 Will Accept 13 Weeks. SHIFT: 5x8 Hours (M - F 8a - 4:30p) Monday through Friday, 8:00-4:30; Clinic is Closed for the Holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day & Martin Luther King Day Call Requirement: NONE Float Requirement: NONE. Non-malignant Hematology diagnosis will be seen in this clinic, as there is another clinic that will handle malignant hematology. SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Bone Marrow biopsies, manual diffs, triage, phlebotomy, central line access, patient education, patient assessment - Manual diffs are done by lab personnel not RNs; case management SPECIAL EQUIPMENT: RNs ARE REQUIRED TO BRING THEIR OWN STETHOSCOPE PATIENT GROUPS: Adults - EPIC Access needed: EPIC Acute Activation User activated in EPIC with hospital-related or blended access – EA1150405. UNIT SYSTEMS: EPIC UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 Hours SCRUBS: Not Provided.
