Construction Superintendent

Job Description Position SummaryThe Construction Superintendent oversees all on-site construction activities from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to DBK's Higher Standard of quality. This role manages day-to-day operations, coordinates field teams and subcontractors, and serves as the primary on-site representative for DBK to clients, inspectors, and vendors.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, safety standards, and company policies.Coordinate with Project Managers, Estimators, and Directors to maintain accurate project schedules and resource allocations.Manage subcontractors and field personnel to ensure timely and efficient work execution.Conduct daily site walks and weekly progress meetings to monitor quality, safety, and schedule performance.Review and verify subcontractor work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.Maintain clear communication with clients, inspectors, and property representatives to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.Enforce OSHA safety standards and DBK safety protocols on all job sites.Ensure materials and equipment are delivered and installed per schedule.Review drawings and specifications to identify conflicts, errors, or potential cost impacts.Track field changes and communicate to Project Manager for change order processing.Maintain accurate daily reports, photos, and documentation of all on-site activities.Support and mentor field employees, reinforcing DBK's culture of teamwork and accountability.Qualifications5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, preferably within multifamily renovation, commercial, or hospitality construction.Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and safety practices.Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and submittals.Excellent leadership and communication skills; able to manage multiple trades and priorities.Proficient in scheduling, reporting, and field coordination tools (e.g., Procore, Sage, or equivalent).OSHA 30 certification required (or must obtain within 90 days of hire).Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Core CompetenciesLeadership & Team DevelopmentJobsite Safety & ComplianceCommunication & CollaborationProblem Solving & Decision MakingTime Management & OrganizationClient-Focused ApproachWhy DBKAt DBK, we believe it's our people who bring our clients the Higher Standard.
