We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to ensure our products have been manufactured to the highest standards and meet customer expectations.This is a hands-on leadership role within a small, fast-paced manufacturing environment. The right candidate will take ownership of the Quality department while remaining actively involved in day-to-day quality activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and building systems that support long-term growth.You will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure product quality, drive accountability, and support customer expectations. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both the department and the broader organization.Responsibilities (including but not limited to):Lead the Quality function with full ownership of department performance, priorities, and resultsRemain actively involved in day-to-day quality activities including audits, investigations, and corrective actionsDevelop, improve, and maintain quality control processes aligned with customer and regulatory requirementsEnsure readiness for internal, customer, and third-party audits and actively participate in audit activitiesInvestigate nonconformances, determine root cause, and drive timely and effective corrective and preventive actionsPartner with customers and regulatory representatives to maintain strong relationships and ensure expectations are metAddress customer complaints and quality issues with a sense of urgency and clear follow-throughLead, develop, and hold accountable Quality team members while ensuring effective delegation and executionAssess department needs and build structure, processes, and team capabilities as the business evolvesEstablish and track quality metrics, using data to drive decisions and continuous improvement effortsCollaborate with suppliers and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues and monitor supplier performanceIdentify opportunities for improvement and implement practical, efficient solutions across the organizationProvide clear and consistent reporting to leadership on quality performance and key initiativesQualifications5+ years of experience in a Quality role within a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospaceExperience managing or leading a team, including delegation, performance oversight, and driving accountabilityStrong knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001 standardsExperience with precision machining, inspection, testing, and manufacturing processesProficient in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologiesAbility to interpret blueprints and technical specificationsExperience developing and improving quality systems and proceduresBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field, or equivalent experienceWorking knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plusWhat We’re Looking ForA hands-on leader who is comfortable operating both strategically and tacticallyStrong sense of ownership with the ability to drive issues through to resolutionHighly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and follow-throughAbility to manage multiple priorities without losing visibility or momentumStrong leadership skills with the ability to delegate effectively and develop team membersClear communicator who can work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teamsAdaptable and responsive in a fast-paced environmentBenefits:Premium health insurance and vision through Kaiser PermanenteDental3 Weeks Paid Vacation / Sick time401KPhysical Requirements:Must be able to walk up and down stairsLift and carry up to 25lbs.Push up to 50lbs on a rolling cartMust be able to pass a drug screen for substances illegal in the state of California as well as a background check.Export Control Notice:This role involves access to information regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
