With dedicated professionals and assemblers regularly operating two full shifts, ISC operates with the most current high-speed tooling, material handling, and test equipment.Job OverviewThe Director of Quality is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Interconnect Solutions Company’s Quality Management System across all operations. This role has enterprise-level accountability for quality performance, regulatory compliance, supplier quality, and customer satisfaction while supporting a fast‑paced, high‑mix manufacturing environment.In this role, you will serve as the senior quality authority for the organization and a key partner to Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and customers. You will ensure quality systems are effective, scalable, and aligned with business objectives, balancing compliance, risk management, customer expectations, and operational agility through sound, risk‑based decision‑making as the company continues to grow.What You'll Do:Quality Leadership & ManagementLead, develop, and manage Quality Engineers, Supplier Quality, Inspection/FAI, and Quality Analytics teams.Establish quality objectives and performance metrics aligned with company and customer requirements.Foster a strong quality culture focused on ownership, prevention, accountability, and continuous improvement.Partner cross‑functionally to ensure quality is embedded throughout manufacturing, engineering, and supplier processes.Quality Management System & ComplianceOwn the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).Ensure compliance with applicable standards and certifications, including: ISO 9001AS9100Lead internal audits, management reviews, customer audits, and certification audits.Maintain effective document control, risk management, and corrective action processes.Product, Process & Supplier QualityEnsure robust inspection, First Article Inspection (FAI), validation, and acceptance processes.Own supplier quality programs, including supplier qualification, audits, performance monitoring, and corrective actions.Partner with Supply Chain on supplier risk assessment, escalation, and continuous improvement initiatives.Customer QualityServe as the primary senior quality interface for customers during audits, visits, and quality escalations.Lead investigation, root cause analysis, and resolution of customer quality issues.Ensure corrective actions are effective, timely, and designed to prevent recurrence.Monitor and improve customer‑facing quality metrics, including defects, returns, and quality performance trends.Continuous Improvement & AnalyticsDefine and track key quality metrics to identify systemic risks and opportunities.Lead continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem‑solving methodologies.Drive reduction of cost of poor quality (COPQ) while improving yield, reliability, and customer satisfaction.Use data and analytics tools to support decision‑making and performance visibility.Must-Have Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.10+ years of progressive quality experience in a manufacturing environment.5+ years of experience in a leadership or people management role.Demonstrated ownership of a Quality Management System in a certified manufacturing organization.Strong experience leading audits, corrective action programs, and regulatory or customer compliance efforts.Experience partnering cross‑functionally with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain leadership.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; strong Excel skills required.Nice-to-Have Qualifications:Advanced degree (MBA or MS in Engineering or related field).Experience in high‑mix, fast‑turn manufacturing environments.Background in interconnects, electronics, automotive, aerospace, medical devices, consumer electronics, or other regulated manufacturing industries.ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE), Six Sigma certification, or Lead Auditor credentials.Experience with APQP, PPAP, IPC‑620, AS9102 First Article Inspection, and customer‑specific quality requirements.Familiarity with quality data and visualization tools such as Power BI.
