This position ensures the facility remains safe, functional, compliant, and welcoming for patients, staff, and visitors. The role requires strong general maintenance knowledge with an emphasis on carpentry, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor construction projects.The technician works independently on a wide range of facility systems and repairs while supporting clinic operations with minimal disruption to operations.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform routine facility maintenance and repairs across clinic locations.Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs.Complete basic carpentry, drywall, painting, and fixture repairs.Assist with minor plumbing and electrical repairs.Conduct preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.Monitor HVAC systems and report maintenance concerns.Maintain maintenance logs, inspections, and work orders.Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire safety, and healthcare facility standards.Safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Technical training or trade certification preferred.Minimum 5 years of maintenance or handyman experience required.Valid driver's licenses without any driving restrictions (You will be required to drive the Company Vehicle). Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesStrong carpentry and general maintenance skills required.Knowledge of building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and drywall repair.Ability to troubleshoot maintenance problems independently.Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond quickly to urgent situations.Strong customer service and communication skills.Ability to work in occupied patient-care environments professionally and respectfully.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and reaching.Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.May require occasional evening, weekend, or on-call work.Work Environment Pediatric clinic and healthcare office setting.
