This position is responsible for working in accordance with established policies and procedures and/or specific instructions from the Facility Operations Director and/or Assistant Facility Operations Director to complete work order requests.Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for keeping maintenance shop clean, orderly and neat.Maintains all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition on a daily basis.Responsible for prioritizing daily work.Responds to work order requests and radio calls in a timely manner.Performs minor repairs (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.), paints, installs household fixtures, routine preventative maintenance for villas and cottages, and other requests as needed.Treats all members with courtesy and respect at all times.Performs special projects as needed.Assist in responding to Fire Alarms or drills.Cross-trains in all other areas of the Plant Operations department.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent is required. Must have valid driver’s license and maintain “clean” driving record. Must be skilled in proper usage of necessary tools and equipment for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, etc. Must have at least one to four years’ experience in all areas of maintenance (e.g., electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, etc.) Ability to talk respectfully with, understand, empathize with, work with and be tolerant of members, residents, patients, families, visitors, peers, supervisors and other outside contractors. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
