Controller

The Controller will play a critical leadership role in a private equity-owned hospitality platform overseeing the accounting integration and financial operations of multiple ski resort properties. Reporting to executive leadership, this individual will lead the consolidation of accounting processes, systems, reporting, and internal controls across the resort portfolio while supporting the continued growth and operational excellence of the organization.The position may be based at one of the resort locations or at the private equity firm’s home office, with periodic travel to each property required to build relationships, support on-site teams, and ensure consistent financial practices across the platform.This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations including monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, audit coordination, and compliance activities for multiple resort entities. The Controller will partner closely with resort general managers and corporate leadership to standardize processes, improve reporting accuracy, and implement scalable systems that support a multi-location organization. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, experience in multi-entity or multi-location environments, and the ability to lead teams through operational change and integration initiatives in a fast-paced setting.Candidates should possess a CPA designation or equivalent accounting leadership experience, along with a proven track record in hospitality, leisure, real estate, private equity-backed, or consumer-facing businesses. Experience with acquisitions, integrations, and process improvement initiatives is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be collaborative, hands-on, and comfortable operating both strategically and tactically across geographically dispersed teams.
