K-8 RISE / ALC Teacher, ESY ProgramPOSITION OVERVIEWTo plan and provide instruction to students with complex educational needs (e.g. ASD, medical complexity) who require an Extended School Year (ESY), per their Individualized Education Program (IEP).ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Planning for instruction of students to maintain skills, information, and behaviors per IEPSupervision of paraprofessionalsCoordination of related service supportAssessment and communication of progress with teachers and service providersWritten progress reports at end of programCurrent authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employmentQUALIFICATIONS-PREFERRED:MASS DESE certification in Moderate or Severe Disabilities, PreK-8, requiredTeaching experience with students on the autism spectrumSchedule:July 6, 2026 - August 13, 20269:00 - 2:00, Monday - ThursdayAdditional 1-2 days of training prior to start of programAdditional 30 minutes per day for planningContact information: Mark_marfione@psbma.orgThe Public Schools of Brookline is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute through their teaching or practice to the diversity and excellence of the PSB community.
