Electronics Test Engineer – Power Systems

Job Title: Automation Test Engineer IV - 2657 Number of Positions: 1 Location: Wilmington, North Carolina, USA (On-site)Job SummaryThe Automation Test Engineer IV will support the development, testing, inspection, and documentation of electronic components and replacement parts used in nuclear power plant applications. This role involves working closely with sourcing, quality, suppliers, and internal engineering teams to support product development, troubleshooting, manufacturing, and automated testing activities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport resolution of technical issues related to current projects, equipment under test, and in-service platforms Deliver detailed designs and technical support for manufacturing and testing activities Develop power electronic solutions for products and projects Design, verify, and test analog and digital electronics systems for power distribution and controls products Support product development lifecycle activities and provide technical guidance to teams Develop manual and automated production test procedures to ensure product reliability and functionality Provide technical support to technicians during testing activities Troubleshoot analog and digital electronic systems and drive effective problem resolution Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and suppliers Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience Minimum 3 years of experience in power electronics engineering Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand Preferred QualificationsExperience in the nuclear industry Strong troubleshooting skills in analog and digital electronics Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other measurement instruments Experience developing automated test systems and test programs Knowledge of electronics design, development, and design-for-manufacturing/testing methodologies Familiarity with power switching and control circuitry technologies Experience writing technical documentation Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Willingness to travel as needed
