Automation Engineer IV (2657 - Electrical / Electronics Engineer - Wilmington, NC)

Interview Process: 1 virtual round, cameras onWe are seeking a Power Electronics Test Engineer with strong experience in analog and digital electronics, LabVIEW, TestStand, automated test systems, and production test procedures. This role will support engineering activities for electronics components and replacement parts used in highly regulated power plant applications.The selected candidate will develop specifications, testing procedures, inspections, and technical documentation while working closely with sourcing, quality, product teams, and suppliers.Key Responsibilities:Resolve technical issues related to current projects, equipment under test, and in-service platformsSupport detailed design, manufacturing, and testing activities to ensure on-time deliveryProvide power electronics solutions for products and projectsManage requirements, design, verification, and testing of power distribution and control productsDevelop manual and automated production test proceduresSupport technicians during various testing activitiesTroubleshoot analog and digital electronics using engineering best practicesWrite and maintain technical documentationRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experienceMinimum 3 years of power electronics experience in an engineering rolePrior experience with National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStandExperience with analog and digital electronics design, verification, and testingHands-on experience with measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and related instrumentationExperience with automated test systems and automated test program developmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated environmentsKnowledge of power switching and control circuitryExperience with design for manufacturing and test methodologiesStrong diagnostic troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong communication, teamwork, and cross-functional coordination skillsExperience working with suppliers and cross-organizational teamsTechnical leadership experience in integration activitiesThis is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on electronics testing, troubleshooting, automation, and technical documentation in a mission-critical engineering environment.
