The Area Manager will be responsible for managing the sale of Ford & Lincoln used vehicle assets (Rental Repurchase, Off-Lease, Repo, Company Service and ARS) at Ford Sponsored Auction in the Fontana CA area, at the Manheim-Southern CA auto auction. Position will receive on-the-job training primarily from the Regional Operations Manager, local Per Diem and other Ford Area Managers. What you'll do... Maximize residual values for Ford and Lincoln products, including RAV vehiclesMaximize net revenue by inspecting and making repair decisions with ROI >1.0Efficiently turn used vehicles into cash by managing days to turn and reduce carrying costsRepresent Ford and Lincoln vehicles on the auction block on sale days, including remote sales at other Ford Sponsored Auctions, including proper recall announcements and specialized vehicles/equipment to maximize net revenueEnsure compliance with Ford Contracts and Auction standards by ensuring all expenses and fees are properly audited on playbook to protect brand and corporate reputationManage, lead and direct supplier staff to support Ford's business at the auction by developing business plans and action plans to support objectivesPerformance analysis: Provide business updates via remarketing dashboard and ASAPNetwork with franchise dealers and buyers, and independent dealers to maximize bidding and gross retentions at all salesMaximize opportunities to identify Ford/Lincoln vehicles which meet FBA/CPO Express Check requirements to build dealer engagement with CPO vehicles and opportunitiesGrow Automotive Remarketing Services (ARS) revenue by selling products/services to our franchised dealers and Fleet customers.Position office is in the supplier facility; Typical work hours are 8AM-5PM M-F, with occasional casual overtime as needed to support peak volumes and additional department initiatives.Position includes one sale vehiclePosition will likely include some overnight travel to support other auctions ~25%QualificationsYou'll have...Bachelor's degree5 years of relevant experiencePosition requires physical, daily work outside in a variety of weather conditions.IMPORTANT: Future relocation to a different Ford Sponsored Auction location is possible (depending on employee's progress and department business needs at other auction locations).Must be willing to accommodate 25% travel.Willingness to relocate for future advancement within the department and the company.This is not a work from home role, daily travel to Supplier Locations and Auto Auction sites are requiredYou MUST live in or near Fontana, CAEven better, if you have ...Knowledge or experience in remarketing, insurance claim assessments, used vehicle wholesale and/or retail acquisition and disposal practices a plus.Must work well without daily supervision. This position is a range of salary grades 7-8 and ranges from $95,300-$145,000.
