You will oversee day-to-day field operations, develops project plans, and monitor performance. You will also anticipate client needs and provide solutions, share expertise and mentor colleagues. Join our True Blue team today and help build the networks of tomorrow!Essential Responsibilities:Will ensure projects meet approved plans, specifications, and building codesLeads the development of Project Quality Plans and Safety Programs, and oversees incident investigationsReviews and updates construction schedules, addresses delays, and contributes to project schedulesEstimates activity durations and materials for complex projectsWorking knowledge of reporting and tracking of financial aspects of the projectParticipates in subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiationsWill set priorities and allocate resources as needed for the entire field teamProvides leadership and mentorship to project staffQualifications:Three to five years of experience as a Telecommunications Construction Superintendent or a similar roleKnowledge of underground fiber installation using boring and plow equipmentPost-secondary education in Construction, Engineering, or a related discipline is an assetComprehensive knowledge of construction documents, drawings, specifications, and current construction practicesEffective communication and leadership skillsAbility to directly supervise craft employees as well as sub-contractorsProblem-solving abilities and the capacity to anticipate and address issuesStrong organizational and planning skillsWorking Conditions:Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)This is a site-based position that will require travel as needed to various Ledcor offices and project sitesAdditional InformationLedcor Technical Services (LTS) designs, builds, and maintains wireline or wireless networks that span North America and beyond.
