The Front Desk Agent will assist guests with the check-in and check-out processes, issue room keys, and process payments. Responsibilities also include maintaining communication with housekeeping staff to coordinate room availability, answering guest inquiries, and completing paperwork promptly and accurately. The Front Desk Agent must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to stay positive even when faced with challenging situations. Your goal is to provide guests with an exceptional customer service experience. Agents will act as manager on duty and must maintain the hotel presentation in absence of housekeeping, maintenance as needed.ResponsibilitiesMonitor/maintain hotel operations and activitiesTake reservations and answer questions via phone, email, and in-personAssist with guest requests and provide local expertise when asked for recommendationsBuild rapport with guests and identify their needs through friendly conversation and open-ended questionsDescribe the features and amenities of guest roomsEnsure compliance with health and quality standardsEnsure the cleanliness and quality of the propertyDeliver top tier customer service and quick complete responses to guestsMake, cancel, modify reservations, work with third party vendors, and communicate and apply any fees/charges to these modificationsEnsure accurate billing of room chargesTake ownership and work as a teamQualificationsFriendly and outgoing personalityFamiliarity with hospitality industry standardsProficient in English; knowledge of other languages is a plusComputer literacyAble to resolve issues with a customer-focused orientationAble to lift 30 poundsAble to stand and assist guests during transactions
