Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid)Employment Type: Full-Time ContractSchedule: Weekend support may be requestedPay: $34-36 per hourResponsibilities:Design, implement and validate vehicle electrical systemsReview and approve device transmittalsDevelop vehicle-level logical schematicsConduct design/compatibility reviewsDefine fusing and grounding strategiesSupport system-level validation/diagnosticsProvide technical support for prototype and pre-production buildsPerform System Level tests for ECU integration by flashing ECU software and calibration filesPerform configuration, commanding and analyzing self-test results, and performing functional testsRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field3 years of experience with electrical schematics design.Must have experience on systems engineering, leading or being part of a team defining and developing components interfaces and interactionsAbility to present a logical approach to decompose a problem into small elements that can be tested/checked for their contribution on the failure modeDesign and development of specific electrical system schematicsSupport of electrical device transmittal processDevelopment of system FMEA and DVP documentationPrototype breadboard validation and sign-offPrototype vehicle build support, including software flashing, configuration, and troubleshootingCompatibility reviews of module and wiring interfacesProduction plant build supportPreferred:Master’s degreeBackground on harness designElectrical schematics designCAN Network experienceECU software flashing and diagnostics
