Payroll & Accounting Specialist Payroll & Accounting Specialist Location: Berne, IN Job Type: Direct Hire Pay: $55,000 $65,000/year (based on experience) Pro Resources is partnering with a well-established company in Berne, IN to hire a Payroll & Accounting Specialist. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both payroll and accounting responsibilities and is looking for a stable, full-time role with a strong benefits package. What You'll Do: Process payroll accurately and on time, including wages, benefits, taxes, and deductions Maintain payroll systems and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations Manage payroll updates such as new hires, terminations, and pay changes Prepare payroll reports and maintain accurate records Support audits by providing payroll documentation Assist with accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and vendor payments Reconcile discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records Prepare and enter journal entries Support additional accounting duties as needed What We're Looking For: Associate degree in Accounting, Business, HR, or related field preferred 35 years of payroll and/or accounting experience Strong understanding of payroll processes, taxes, and compliance Knowledge of FLSA and payroll laws Proficiency in Microsoft Office High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Why You'll Want This Role: Competitive salary based on experience Comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage Health Savings Account (HSA) options Life and AD&D insurance (company-paid) Short-term and long-term disability coverage Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with 24/7 support Stable, full-time opportunity with a growing organization Ready to take the next step in your accounting career?
