Sr. Director of Innovation and Project Management

The Sr. Director of Innovation and Project Management partners closely with Product Management, R&D, and Marketing teams to shape earlystage innovation across the Life Sciences Group. On a typical day, this role guides teams through concept development activities, applies Voice of Customer and market insights to refine new product ideas, reviews earlystage investment and portfolio priorities, and collaborates with strategic planning, Corporate Development, and the PMO to advance transformational innovation initiatives through the new product development process.How You'll Make An Impact:Lead the earlystage portfolio of the new product development (NPD) process, partnering with Product Management and R&D during the Concept Phase. -Provide project management leadership for transformational innovation initiatives through the NPD lifecycle.Establish and apply best practices in Voice of Customer (VoC), market analysis, and early market validation to align concepts with customer needs.Define and implement process, governance, and standard work for preFeasibility and Planning phases, including oversight of divisional investment.Serve as the primary linkage between the PMO, Strategic Planning, Corporate Development, and the ideation function across all LSG business units.What You Bring:Education: Masters/PhD in a scientific discipline.Strong scientific background with 15+ years of experience in the life sciences tools market.Expert-level experience in Voice of Customer (VoC) methodologies and market analysis.Proven experience enabling teams to develop commercially successful product concepts.Experience with project incubation, risk reduction, and transformational innovation programs.Experience with strategic planning, open innovation, and external partnerships supporting make/buy/partner decisions.Lean experience is preferred.Location:This position must be based inHercules, CAand requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.Total Rewards Package:At Bio-Rad, we're empowered by our purpose and recognize that our employees are as well. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
