We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly while delivering high-quality dishes that meet our dining standards.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
Assist in menu planning, including the selection of ingredients and presentation styles.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the highest quality of food handling.
Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other culinary tools.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Participate in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
