Employer Industry: Education Services Why consider this job opportunity Starting pay up to $23.00 per hour based on education, experience, and skill Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision Opportunities for career advancement and leadership roles within the organization Flexible remote work arrangement allows for a balanced work-life schedule Collaborative and supportive work environment with ongoing professional development Chance to make a significant impact on students' lives by helping them discover their authentic voice in writing What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): Provide asynchronous revision and feedback to high school students on their application essays Collaborate with teams to offer in-depth feedback on narrative and supplemental essay drafts Model professionalism by managing students' production schedules and communicating effectively with team members Conduct necessary editing work to ensure essays meet organizational standards Maintain a fixed flex schedule with core hours to accommodate student needs What is Required (Qualifications): Bachelor's degree or higher Minimum of 2 years of editing experience, preferably in college admissions Strong editing skills and mastery of the English language Access to a reliable internet connection and a distraction-free private workspace Ability to manage multiple deadlines and take responsibility for students' progress How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): Graduated from a top 50 university Degree in a communication-based field such as English, Journalism, or Creative Writing Experience tutoring high school or college students in writing Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace and Dropbox for remote instruction Previous experience in the college preparation service industry We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-opportunity employment.
