Senior Java Software Engineer

Consultants with strong AI LLM integration exp who are willing to relocate are encouraged apply.Title: Senior Java Developer (AI Augmented)Location: Hybrid - Need to be onsite 4 day a week @ Durham, NCDuration: 6 Months contractMust have: Java, enterprise-scale application development, microservices architecture, Kafka, AWS SQS and/or IBM MQ, Agentic IDEs like Claude Code or Cursor for leveraging AI for enterprise application development, Solid understanding of AI agents – LLMs and tools such as ChatGPT and Docker CI/CD. Python or another major programming language exp.Job Description:10 years of professional experience in Java development (senior-level preferred).Proven experience with enterprise-scale application development.Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems.Hands-on experience with Kafka, AWS SQS, and/or IBM MQ.Experience using Agentic IDEs like Claude Code or Cursor for leveraging AI for enterprise application development.Solid understanding of AI agents, LLMs, and tools such as ChatGPT.Proficiency in Python or another major programming language for AI integration is a plusFamiliarity with AWS cloud services and building cloud native applications.Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).Experience building and deploying AI-powered applications in production.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related fieldThis role is open to W2 or those seeking Corp-Corp employment.
