Employment Type:Full timeShift:12 Hour Night ShiftDescription:***SIGN ON BONUS UP TO $15,000 FOR NEW COLLEAGUE!***Position PurposeThe Respiratory Therapist shall be responsible for the administration of respiratory care offered by the Respiratory Care DepartmentWhat you will doFunction clinically with a considerable amount of independent judgment regarding the delivery of quality patient careServe as a technical resource person to the physicians and other health care workers, with regard to current practices in respiratory careSet up, operate and manage patient care on respiratory related equipment such as mechanical ventilators, NIPPV/CPAP, or High Flow Oxygen devicesManage patients on invasive mechanical ventilation modes (AC, PSV, PC, APRV, Bi-level)Minimum QualificationsGraduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care, minimum of a two-year Associate's DegreeCurrent State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner LicenseRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).Thorough knowledge of the procedures and patient care techniques involved in the delivery of respiratory carePosition Highlights and Benefits36hr, three 12hr shifts per week 7p-7a (full time). Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
