Employment Type:Part timeShift:Rotating ShiftDescription:Position PurposeThe Respiratory Therapist shall be responsible for the administration of respiratory care offered by the Respiratory Care Department at Saint Francis HospitalWhat you will doFunction clinically with a considerable amount of independent judgment regarding the delivery of quality patient careServe as a technical resource person to the physicians and other health care workers, with regard to current practices in respiratory careSets up, operates and manages patient care on respiratory related equipment such as mechanical ventilators, NIPPV/CPAP, or High Flow Oxygen devices; Manages patients on invasive mechanical ventilation modes (AC, PSV, PC, APRV, Bi-level)Minimum QualificationsGraduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care, minimum of a two-year Associate's DegreeCurrent State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner LicenseRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).Thorough knowledge of the procedures and patient care techniques involved in the delivery of respiratory carePosition Highlights and BenefitsPer DiemExcellent Shift and Weekend DifferentialsMinistry/Facility InformationSaint Francis Hospital is committed to exceeding the expectations of our patients and families by providing world-class service in a progressive, people-centered, compassionate health care environment.
