Vernis & Bowling's Islamorada, Florida Keys office is seeking paralegals to join our team. We are a fast-paced civil litigation defense firm. Ideal candidates will have General Liability experience.Job Duties (include but are not limited to):Summarizes records and court filesSchedule couriers, court reporters, expert witnesses & other special functionsResearch sources such as statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, and public recordsDrafts, prepares and performs limited reviews of legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, discovery materials, appeals and contractsAssists in trial preparation and discovery practices such as gathering and organizing exhibits, trial data, documents, and other materials in response to subpoenas, discovery requests, interrogatories, motions for summary judgments, etc.Serves as a limited liaison between counsel, clients, experts, witnesses, third parties, and other outside contactsMaintain attorney's calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, and depositionsRequirements:Minimum 1 year's prior experience with General LiabilityProven administrative/clerical/organizational abilitiesProficient in Office 2007 (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), as well as Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
