Intern

Position Summary:KMEC is seeking a motivated Engineering Intern to support engineers and technical staff in the design, analysis, and execution of mechanical and structural projects. This role provides hands-on experience in engineering operations, field support, and project documentation within a fast-paced industrial environment.Key Responsibilities:Assist engineers with system design, drafting, and technical calculationsSupport project documentation, submittals, and bill of materialsParticipate in site visits, inspections, and field data collectionReview drawings and specifications for accuracy and complianceCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support project executionPerform research and analysis to support engineering decisionsQualifications:Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering disciplineProficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with CAD software preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and organizational abilitiesThis internship offers practical experience, mentorship from experienced engineers, and exposure to real-world industrial engineering projects.Applicants must be able to complete the internship in person at one of our locations.Other qualifications:Eagerness to learn about the industrial distribution industryWillingness to relocate at the conclusion of the programDedication to Purvis Industries' core values (Integrity, Respect, Honesty, Customer Success, Partnerships, Passion, Those Who Serve)Read more about our core values on Our Customer Commitment page
