Lead Blockchain Engineer

Remote: (HQ: Berlin)Plexus has partnered with a high growth DeFi infrastructure team building next generation on chain markets, backed by top tier investors with early traction.Role:Own the protocol, architecture, and engineering team. Work directly with founders to define how the system is built, secured, and scaled.Responsibilities:• Own core protocol architecture and lead mainnet Solidity development• Build and scale a high performance engineering team• Define security standards, audits, and threat models across the protocol• Drive technical roadmap and protocol evolution with founders• Ship gas optimised, production scale smart contractsRequirements:• Proven experience owning or leading DeFi protocol architecture• Track record shipping production smart contracts to mainnet• Deep understanding of security, exploits, and audits• Strong grasp of EVM internals and gas optimisation• Experience leading engineers or technical directionBenefits:• $180k–$250k base + equity + token upside• Full ownership of a live DeFi protocol• Direct access to founders and investors• Build and lead the engineering org from the ground upIf you’ve owned DeFi systems at scale and want full technical ownership, let’s talk.
