Mainframe Developer Contractor: 6-9 years (Advanced)

Mainframe LeadWork Authorization: USC, GC, EAD, TN W2 only No C2C Remote Role Summary: Serves as a technical lead and SME for the mainframe claims system. Handles complex problem resolution, system design for enhancements, and mentors junior team members.Key Responsibilities:Analyze, design, and develop complex fixes and enhancements for mainframe-based claims adjudication modules.Troubleshoot critical production defects and perform root cause analysis (RCA) on recurring issues.Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to Client and client coding standards.Collaborate with business analysts to translate healthcare claims regulatory changes into technical requirements.Required Skills:6-9 years of hands-on experience with COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and CICS.Experience with Mainframe debugging tools (e.g., Xpediter, File-AID, Abend-AID).Strong knowledge of healthcare claims processing (837/835 EDI formats, ICD-10).
