Overall, we are a collection of people who strive daily to “find the good and leave it better”.Role SummaryThe VP, Human Resources & Talent Management is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering human capital strategy across all of Waterton. This leader will oversee core facets of the employee lifecycle from attraction and recruitment to the development, management, and retention of top talent. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to the SVP-CHRO, VP-Total Rewards & HR Operations, and leaders throughout the business on all people-related matters.Key Responsibilities Recruitment & Talent AcquisitionLead the development and delivery of a proactive, scalable recruiting strategy to attract diverse, qualified candidates at all levels of the organization.Oversee full-cycle recruiting operations, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.Build and maintain employer brand initiatives and partnerships with universities, professional organizations, and staffing partners.Establish and track key recruiting metricsResponsible for managing budget and execution of annual internship program.Partner with external partners to contribute to learning opportunities to college students and early career professionals interested in commercial real estate careers.Support M&A, Acquisition, and Disposition activities related to separations and talent acquisition.Employee Experience & EngagementChampion a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture, leveraging the Waterton Way.Establish comprehensive onboarding and offboarding processesServe as an escalation point for complex employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, and workplace conflict resolution.Ensure consistent and fair application of company policies and HR practices across all departmentsResponsible for rolling out annual engagement surveys and analyzing resultsOversight of employee lifecycle transactions from onboarding through offboardingLeading Onboarding/Offboarding Committee.Oversight of Day in the Life Program and Mentoring Program.Talent ManagementConduct ongoing audits, analysis, and assess improvement opportunitiesOversee corporate professional development programEvaluate and manage external training vendors, e-learning platforms, and professional development resourcesManage the annual performance review process and corresponding annual compensation processOversight of Collective Bargaining Agreements and union negotiations related to performance and employmentLeadershipProvide direction, coaching, and mentoring of assigned team members.Leads with and role models a focus on collaboration and responsiveness.Support M&A, Acquisition and Disposition activities related to departures and talent acquisition.Lead with a project management mindset.Create disciplined processes with emphasis on leveraging Waterton approved technology as extensively as possible.Proactively participate in establishing and managing to annual budget.Bring a strong ethical approach to execution of work and leadership.Model a strong and practical sense of urgency.Leverage persuasive collaboration and communication skillsPartner with HR Leadership Team, Finance, and other business stakeholders on cross-functional projects.Partner and lead activities and events that support Waterton’s culture and philanthropic activities as assigned.Required Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in business, finance, human resources or related field.10 years of relevant experience in multiple areas of human resourcesDemonstrated experience in sourcing and analyzing compensation market data.Experienced with implementation and configuration of applicant tracking, performance management, and other HR related systems.Advanced computer skills; proficient in all Microsoft Office products with advanced Excel skills.Demonstrated advanced analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail.Extensive, thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, workers’ compensation, wage and hour issues, labor relations, and the following statutes and their state and local analogues (where applicable: Title VII, ADEA, Equal Pay Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, FLSA, ADA, OSHA, FMLA, ERISA, and NLRA.Demonstrated experience with constantly shifting priorities with a high sense of urgency and without loss of efficiency.PHR (Professional HR Certification) preferred.BenefitsAt Waterton, we recognize that compensation and benefits are important to our associates.
