During each project we challenge students to think critically as we guide them to be effective problem solvers. Website: www.stemnetics.orgJob Summary: The Program Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing STEM programming across multiple regions, with primary operations in California and Michigan. The Director supervises Program Managers, ensures operational excellence, and drives curriculum innovation to deliver impactful STEM experiences for students. This role requires an experienced leader with deep knowledge of the education space, exceptional organizational and people-management skills, and ability to balance strategic vision with day-to-day execution. The Program Director will occasionally travel to oversee multi-site programming and cultivate external relationships.Job Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for driving the vision, execution, growth, and strategic oversight for STEM programming in primary markets.Supervise, mentor, coach, and support Program Managers, fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture across multiple sites.Lead daily operations of STEM programming in California and Michigan, ensuring seamless coordination of in-school, afterschool, summer, and community based initiatives.Support the team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, scheduling, hiring and releasing employees; create a safe, compliant, and secure work environment; foster personal growth opportunities.Partner with the CEO to support business development, including cultivating client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and building strong relationships with schools, districts, and community partners to sustain and grow programming.Oversee curriculum design, adaptation, lesson evaluation, and instructional effectiveness in collaboration with senior staff.Provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership; identify opportunities for program expansion, partnerships, and revenue opportunities.Collaborate with the team to refine program strategies and implement system improvements.Monitor program outcomes, ensuring service excellence, compliance, and achievement of organizational benchmarks.Contribute to grant applications, proposals, and reporting as needed to support organizational growth.Participate in occasional travel (approximately once per quarter) to Michigan and/or partner locations for program oversight and relationship management.Maintain professional expertise through continued engagement in trainings, workshops, and STEM education networks.Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required Proven track record of at least 5 years in a role that includes program management, staff supervision, and a focus on organizational developmentProficient in project management and scheduling tools (e.g. Monday.com, Google Workspace, or similar) or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologiesProficiency in business development, client cultivation, and partnership building Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, management, and problem-solving skillsFlexibility to travel, at least quarterlyPreferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM, Education or Business Administration Proven ability to oversee multiple managers and cross-site programmingExperience in curriculum oversight, lesson evaluation, and program quality improvement Physical/Work Environment : Stand, Walk, Sit (in general office environment)Travel necessary for training, team collaboration, and classroom observations Occasional work outside of standard business hours may be necessaryThis position involves some physical activity, including the ability to lift and move up to 15 lbs. as needed to organize and maintain inventoryLocation: Los Angeles, CAWhat you will enjoy as an employee at STEMNETICS:Salary Range: $100,000 to $107,500 Benefits: Medical, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, Long Term Disability, 401(k) with company match, PTO, Paid Sick Leave, Paid Holidays, Professional Development AssistanceAn excellent opportunity to make a direct impact in the lives of childrenA culture that exudes fun, friendliness, collaborativeness, and high energy with the ability to be challenged in the spirit of raising education to a higher level“Wellness Days” that occur spontaneously whereby each employee is given day off with pay to focus on well-being and personal developmentSTEMNETICS is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
