This individual should have strong bridge and highway construction inspection experience with local agencies in NJ, such as NJDOT, NJTA, NJ Transit, NYNJPA and/or DRPA.Responsibilities:Construction Inspection and Supervision of Bridge/Highway/Infra Contractors according to the Contract Documents and State Specifications.Supervising construction progress and scheduling.Document all field work in writing, measuring all quantities and taking progress photos and videos.Assisting the project Resident Engineer with project administration.Perform daily construction inspection of work activities.Utilize field testing equipment to test materials and take samples.Complete daily reports, quantity calculations, and reports for construction work observed.Reviewing design and bidding documents.Review plans, shop drawings, field measurements, daily quantities and construction safety.Job RequirementsQualifications:5 years of related experience in similar project environments or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.NICET II/III/IV.Knowledge and experience in performing construction inspection activities on highway bridge-related projects, construction site safety standards and agency procedures.TCC, NJSAT, OSHA, ACI Grade I, ACI-CCTC, NACE, SSPC Certs are highly desirable.
