Diploma or GED Software skills: Basic Microsoft Office skillsPre Screening Questions: Interview Process: 1 round in-person interviewSummary: Under the supervision of the Lab Service Manager, responsible for overseeing departmental operations that support client's scientists and technicians in the performance of research. These operations include but are not limited to laboratory logistics and management, inventory management, waste management, shipping and receiving, bulk chemical delivery and gas systems, laboratory equipment and laboratory moves. Support the activities of the Laboratory personnel to ensure agreed-upon consumables are available during normal business hours. To include, but not limited to, chemicals, gases (bulk and point of use), dry ice, safety glasses, lab coats and various stockroom materials. Support all site receiving and delivery needs of chemicals, critical packages and equipment. Assist with building equipment moves/transfers. Perform glasswash duties for the site. Monitor and replace washer chemicals. Return clean glassware to designated area. Report glasswashing metrics to Lab Service Manager monthly. Support all aspects of the site residual and chemical waste program. Tasks involve movement, storage, preparation of supplies, and working with waste vendors. Strictly ensure safety and departmental procedures are being followed and adhered to. Participate in all trainings related to safety and departmental procedures. Insures that the necessary safety equipment and personal protective equipment is available for employee use. Support lab personnel requirements and concerns pertaining to Laboratory Services and act as primary contact to the research departments. Provide support during site emergencies and business continuity situations. Initiates work orders for facilities and laboratories. Conducts periodic safety, environmental, and other required inspections/audits pertaining to the facility. Ensures that appropriate documentation is submitted and takes prompt action to correct conditions found to be out of compliance or unsafe. Must be able to lift 50lbs; 1 to 3 years in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry preferred
