Lab Services Coordinator
LocationSpring House,PADescriptionOur client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, has an exciting opportunity for a Laboratory Services Associate to support daily lab operations for a research-focused environment in Spring House, PA. This 3-month contract role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on operational work and can support both dock and laboratory functions including receiving, lab waste handling, inventory support, and general research operations. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm.Job Description:Maintain daily dock and receiving operations, including accepting deliveries and coordinating incoming materialsSupport laboratory operations by entering lab spaces, removing lab waste, and assisting with research support needsHelp ensure lab consumables and materials are available to scientists and technicians during normal business hoursSupport shipping, receiving, inventory, and general laboratory logistics activitiesAssist with chemical, supply, equipment, and material movement throughout the siteSupport residual and chemical waste handling processes, including movement, storage, and preparation of suppliesPerform glasswash duties as needed, including monitoring washer chemicals and returning clean glassware to designated areasInitiate work orders and help coordinate facilities or laboratory support needsConduct periodic inspections and help ensure safe, compliant, and organized work areasServe as a support contact for lab personnel regarding Laboratory Services-related needsProvide assistance during site emergencies or business continuity situations as neededFollow all safety, environmental, and departmental procedures at all times Must Have Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredAt least 1 year of laboratory, pharmaceutical, chemical, warehouse, or related operational experienceStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage daily responsibilities with minimal supervisionComfortable working in both dock/receiving and laboratory environmentsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active work throughout the dayBasic Microsoft Office skills Nice to Have Qualifications:Experience working in a pharmaceutical, chemical, or research environmentDOT and/or RCRA certification preferredMechanical aptitude or general equipment handling experienceExperience with lab waste, shipping/receiving, or stockroom/inventory supportFamiliarity with safety, environmental, or compliance procedures in a lab setting
