Senior Associate or Director - Capital Raising

Discover endless opportunities to grow and make your mark at Hines.ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Associate or Director - Capital Raising with Hines, you will be responsible for helping grow the Hines Investment Management platform through client acquisition and consultant management efforts regionally. Title dependent on experience and qualificationsServe as a capital raiser within the capital markets group focused on capital raising from institutional investors across the South and Central U.S.Cover institutional investors and consultants, including pension funds, endowments, foundations, insurance companies, and unions. Generate new relationships for Hines within the region and raise capital from investors with a focus on the Hines global suite of discretionary funds, which includes diversified, open-end core/core plus strategies and closed-end value/opportunistic strategies in the U.S., Europe, and AsiaParticipate in relevant industry events and raise awareness of HinesCollaborate with other Hines colleagues in capital markets, sales enablement, Fund Management, Investor Relations, Marketing, Portfolio Management, and Hines regional offices to bring new LPs into the Hines fold and manage relationshipsLend expertise to the creation of marketing materials and various forms of client communicationsDocument activities through Salesforce (opportunity pipeline, call reports) and deliver insights from LPs and consultants covered to the broader Hines organizationQualificationsMinimum Requirements include:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business related area6 or more years of experience working in some combination of real estate, investment management, capital raising, and client relationship managementPossess a successful track record engaging with and/or raising capital from sophisticated real estate-focused institutional investors, ideally with relationships in the MidwestMust currently hold Series 7 and 63 licenses or be willing to obtain upon joining the firmTeam-oriented and ability to work collaboratively with a high-performing capital markets teamStrong knowledge of the real estate sector, competitive landscape, and be capable of articulating deal activity and trends in technical detail and the different investment approaches and strategiesAbility to work with investment team members and be instantly credible with investment professionals, both internally and externallyAbility to credibly articulate Hines' strategies and manage inquiries from existing and prospective investorsKnowledge of Microsoft Office suite requiredEffectively exchange ideas, information, and opinions with others to arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutionsExpected to work in the office 3-4 days per week - Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX office locations preferred, but may consider other locationsExtensive travel will be requiredCompensation: Senior Associate: $150,000 - $180,0000 + bonus/incentive; Director $170,000 - $235,000 + bonus/incentiveClosingAt Hines, we strive for excellence as a leading global real estate investment manager, driven by our by our belief that real estate is fundamentally about people.
