Principal Technical Program Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a consumer-facing environment.Location: San Mateo, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $277,350 – $330,330 annuallyResponsibilities Build advanced infrastructure solutions for diverse user needs Define problem space and drive teams to deliver large-scale systems Communicate technology goals, requirements, and milestones clearly Balance project efficiency with community impact and long-term objectives Align key stakeholders with the program roadmap Manage programs end-to-end focusing on long-term success Unblock teams and maintain focus on top priorities Enable teams to effectively manage all phases of projects Utilize data-driven strategies to inform team directions Manage interdependencies across teams and components Influence and drive product roadmap to support innovation and strategic initiativesQualifications Technical leader with expertise in cloud and on-prem infrastructure 7+ years in the software industry managing large-scale systems Strong relationship-building with cross-disciplinary teams Proven ability to identify and solve critical technical issues Experience in delivering comprehensive technical programs through roadmapping Adept at aligning solutions to benefit larger communities Knowledgeable about user scoping, execution, and project deliveryBenefits Eligible for equity compensation Comprehensive health and wellness benefits Flexible work schedule with partial remote optionsOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
