Registered Nurse (RN) | Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma Location: Mountain Home, ID Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,194 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/26/2026 About the PositionTravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Mountain Home, Idaho, 83647!Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Evenings Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required Must-Have: Well-rounded experience in emergency nursing Description: Department: Emergency Room. The facility operates as a critical access hospital with 10 beds and 2 trauma bays. A triage room is available, and travelers will be required to perform triage duties. Patients are intermixed within the emergency room, and there is one 'safe room' available for mental health needs. An in-house security guard is on site 24/7, though availability may be affected by staff illness. On average, the emergency room treats approximately 35 patients per day. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Common diagnoses include chest pain, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, lacerations, STEMI, and strokes. Nurses will stabilize patients before transferring them for further care. Most patients are walk-ins, including military patients when base facilities are unavailable. Common medications administered include procedural sedation, TNK, and other standard emergency room drips. An MD is present 24/7 in the emergency room, with an additional APP available from 12 PM to 8 PM. A charge nurse is present 24/7 to oversee operations and does not take patients. Support staff includes 1 CNA, with sitters available on call. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7, assisting with ABGs, breathing treatments, and EKGs. The facility has both x-ray and CT available for imaging, with transport handled by radiology unless critical. Typically, registered nurses draw lab samples, though phlebotomy can assist when needed. Shifts are scheduled to ensure coverage, with attempts to consolidate shifts for night travelers. Weekend shifts require a minimum of 4 per 6-week period, and holiday work may be necessary if needed.
