This position focuses on Winter Bike sales, Prepping bikes to be sold, Repairs, and conducting parts orders. Other responsibilities include maintenance tracking, maintaining the operational quality of the rental fleet. This mechanic must have strong organizational skills, and the ability to track and maintain our sales line email.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Good written and oral communication skills, computer skills and team player attitude required. Duties include daily opening and closing of location (village mechanic shop), bike maintenance, parts ordering and inventory control. Result: Bike repair shops that exceed guest needs and return a profit for the company providing excellent service for our guestsMaintain good communication through our “bike sales” cellular line. Maintain good and organized Communication through our bike sales email line. Replacing broken or nonfunctioning parts allowing bikes to function safely and properly. Washing and detailing bikes so they are up to our standards for sales. Result: providing consistent directions that are mandatoryResearching and purchasing materials for bike repairs and/or rental equipment. Result: High quality, up-to-date materials for bike equipment/parts purchased at the most cost-efficient price.Research industry equipment trends and innovative repair techniques. Result: Rental/Repair shops on the leading edge of the Bike industry in providing equipment and service.Coordinate with assigned budgets for the repair shop operation. Utilize systems to monitor budgeted revenues and expenses. Result: A properly equipped shop which efficiently uses labor and supplies so the operation can show an acceptable profit.Coordinate inventory tracking of all rentals, storage, and repaired equipment located in the storage/Repair shop. Result: Documented tracking to ensure consistency of inventory items.Coordinate tracking and documentation on productivity of bikes Perform other duties as assigned. Ability to complete required paperwork in an accurate and legible manor Ability to adhere to all safety policies and procedures Other duties as assigned – including, but not limited to, winter rental and tuning operations. Additionally, this position is required to place and track orders through Quality Bike Parts and similar parts and supply vendors.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Able to stand through most of shift Able to lift bikes weighing 50 lbs or more Able have the dexterity to work with tools and small pieces Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis. Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis. Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis. Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees. Previous experience working in a Bike shop as a mechanic with an overall strong knowledge of all types of bikes required Previous experience specifically working with Rockshox and Fox suspensions required (suspension forks/spring shocks) Previous experience maintaining a large fleet of bikes and significantly large inventory of parts and pieces. WAGE: The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts total compensation package for employees.
