Since our founding by 10 physicians in 1949, we have grown and evolved to meet the needs of Boulder County and beyond.We currently have clinics located in Boulder (2 locations), Louisville, Longmont, and Erie.Summary:Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is recruiting for experienced Nurse Practitioners (NP) and / or Physician Assistants (PA) to join our Family Medicine team! This position is benefit eligible, working full-time 40 hours per week with clinic call located at our BMC Louisville location (80 Health Park Dr., Suites 100 & 200, Louisville, CO 80027).In this role, the APP will join a team of well-established, community-recognized, and highly experienced Family Medicine clinicians. This position provides care for a diverse patient population, ranging from newborns to geriatric patients. The APP will manage a wide range of clinical responsibilities - from cancer screenings and regular physical exams / annual checkups to providing comprehensive management for chronic disease as well as preventive and geriatric care. Includes obtaining and maintaining prescriptive authority per State Board Medical Examiner regulations.Establishes systematic follow-up for evaluation of the plan of care and reassesses and modifies the plan, as necessary, including initiation of referrals and consultation with BMC physicians and other health care providers as appropriate.Assures patient and family teaching is adequate to manage the illness or wellness plan at home.Provides direction to the Medical Assistant assigned to support the APP in the clinic.Education:Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) curriculumActive Colorado State License and DEA licensureExperience:1-3 years of experience in practice, preferably in Family Medicine.Location:Boulder, COSalary Range:$105k+ annually; depending on experience and education
