Join us and put your passion, determination, and skills to work building the future.The Puget Sound Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) and Measurement Systems team is responsible for supporting design, development, production programs, and in-service aircraft systems. The team provides certification and qualification services across the value stream for NDE and measurement technologies and supports a wide range of commercial and defense aircraft including:737747757767777787KC-46B-1BP-8The team also performs research and development activities with both internal stakeholders and external customers. This role spans the entire product lifecycle—from research and development through active airframe support.The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication skills and a desire to work with both technical and non-technical teams. Candidates should possess foundational NDE knowledge and/or experience, along with analytical skills to evaluate failures, materials, tools, and processes.Experience creating NDE inspection procedures for commercial and commercial-derivative aircraft is highly preferred.Key Responsibilities:Develop NDE procedures supporting airline customer maintenance inspectionsDesign NDE reference standards to support inspection proceduresDevelop engineering specifications and supporting documentationAssist in evaluating emerging technologies for potential applicationsSupport development and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processesPerform routine tests and supplier audits to verify compliance with applicable requirementsSupport implementation of corrective and preventive actionsUtilize project management tools to support cost, schedule, and technical objectivesIncorporate Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), LEAN, and Quality principles into:Materials and processesResearch, design, and qualification effortsWork proceduresLaboratory and office environmentsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in:EngineeringComputer ScienceMathematicsPhysicsChemistryMinimum 1+ years of engineering experiencePreferred Qualifications:Experience with CAD systems such as:CATIASolidWorksExperience with NDI/NDE systems:UltrasonicsEddy CurrentExperience in aviation and/or aerospace industriesExperience working within multidisciplinary teamsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong technical writing and documentation abilitiesStrong computer skills and familiarity with engineering toolsStrong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projectsKnowledge of materials science, including metals and/or composite materialsPreferred Candidate Attributes:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersSelf-motivated with strong initiativeInterest in non-destructive evaluation technologies and applicationsAbility to support diverse projects across multiple programs and business unitsCompany DescriptionKronos always provides our partners with 100% customer satisfaction and on time delivery.
