The role may be remote; however, travel throughout Michigan is required for hearings and court appearances as needed.NoteMust be licensed and in good standing with the Michigan State Bar and have 5+ years of mortgage foreclosure and collections experience. The firm is known for combining deep creditors’ rights experience with modern systems, strong client relationships, and a collaborative professional culture.Job DescriptionManage a high-volume creditors’ rights caseload focused on mortgage foreclosure and collections mattersHandle contested litigation including discovery disputes, depositions, motion practice, and hearingsAppear in Michigan state and federal courts and provide hearing coverage statewideDraft pleadings, briefs, and settlement communications with precision and efficiencyApply federal and state laws impacting default servicing and consumer finance mattersCollaborate with internal teams to maintain workflow efficiency, deadlines, and strong client supportContribute to firm growth through leadership, professionalism, and relationship developmentQualificationsActive Michigan Bar license in good standingLicensed or able to obtain admission promptly in Michigan federal district and bankruptcy courts5+ years mortgage foreclosure and collections experienceComfortable managing a significant caseload in a high-volume environmentStrong litigation, writing, and courtroom skillsWillingness to travel throughout Michigan for hearings and court appearancesWhy You’ll Love Working HereThis role offers the flexibility of a remote-capable structure with the substance of real litigation work and the backing of a Detroit-based office.
