Lead EngineerRole SummaryLead a team of three Platform & Pipeline Engineers responsible for IaC, CI/CD, and the Azure DevOps → GitLab migration. You set the technical direction, ensure consistent and automated infrastructure provisioning across Azure and on‑prem, and coordinate closely with the Architecture Lead and Kubernetes Engineer. One team member will focus on .NET containerization for application migration.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Azure DevOps → GitLab migration and oversee the rewrite of IaC templates to OpenTofu.Design reusable IaC modules that work across Azure and on‑prem environments.Build GitLab CI/CD pipelines for platform and infrastructure deployments.Manage and maintain self‑hosted GitLab, including runners, executors, autoscaling, and isolation.Automate provisioning across all environments; enforce automation‑first standards.Integrate with the new observability platform.Align deployment automation with the Kubernetes Engineer and Architecture Lead.Mentor and guide the other Platform Engineers.Required Experience6–8+ years in Platform Engineering / DevOps, with leadership or senior ownership experience.Strong OpenTofu/Terraform skills; able to translate existing IaC (e.g., Bicep) into HCL.Deep experience with GitLab CI/CD and GitLab runner topology.Hands‑on Azure DevOps migration experience (service connections, variable groups, secure files, approvals, artifact feeds).Strong Linux, networking, security, and Kubernetes fundamentals.Experience managing enterprise‑scale IaC across multiple environments/subscriptions.PowerShell scripting proficiency.(Team requirement) At least one engineer with .NET containerization experience.
