Cost Accountant

Extension is seeking a Cost Accountant for a direct hire opportunity with one of our clients located in Milwaukee, WI.About Our ClientGrowing manufacturing company with a strong Midwest presenceNewly created role with high visibility to leadershipOpportunity to work directly with and be mentored by an experienced CFOCollaborative, hands-on environment where you can make a real impactAbility to build, improve, and “own” key accounting processesKey Objectives / Role ResponsibilitiesAnalyze operational costs and identify opportunities for efficiency improvementsMaintain and enhance standard costing and inventory valuation processesTrack and report on cost variances and provide actionable insights to leadershipSupport month-end close, including journal entries and reconciliationsPartner cross-functionally with operations to ensure accurate cost dataAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and working capital metricsContribute to ERP system utilization and process improvementsDesired Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting required3+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing preferred)Cost accounting experience or strong exposure highly desiredStrong Excel skills and ERP experience requiredDetail-oriented, hands-on, and eager to learn and growSalary Information$90k - $100k/yearWe’re looking forward to connecting with you and are excited to help you make your next career move!
