As our Accounting Manager, you'll be the hands-on financial engine that keeps Klean running. Reporting directly to the CFO at Think Better Group, you're the "doer" - the person who owns the books, manages our banking relationships, builds the annual budget, coordinates tax reporting, and makes sure every number is right. Your accuracy and initiative directly enable our leadership team to make smart, mission-aligned decisions that allow Klean Kanteen to invest in its people, its products, and its purpose.What You'll DoChampion Our Mission & ValuesBe an advocate for Klean Kanteen's mission in every interaction with customers, partners, and staffActively support and embody Klean Kanteen values of Respect, Responsibility, and FunFoster a culture of transparency with the team, retail partners, rep groups, and consumersFollow and continuously improve departmental processes and proceduresMeasures progress against objectives and performance targetsLead & Inspire Your TeamHire, mentor, coach, and set clear accountability measures for all direct reportsFoster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the Finance teamConduct regular 1:1s, set goals, gather peer feedback, complete semi-annual performance and salary reviews as part of the organizations performance cycleEncourage growth, improved efficiencies, and best practices across all accounting functionsAccounting & FinanceDevelop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and timelinessPrepare general ledger entries and manage all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings and reconciliationsPerform thorough GL departmental expense reviews and balance sheet account reconciliations on a routine basisPerform bank reconciliations and internal auditsProvide financial information to banks and management for capital requirementMonitor and review cash flow closely in partnership with the CFO, Think Better GroupProvide IT support on behalf of the organization as neededBanking RelationshipsServe as the primary day-to-day point of contact with Klean Kanteen's banking partnersPrepare and deliver weekly borrowing base certificates (BBCs) and monthly bank reporting packageManage covenant compliance tracking and ensure timely submission of all required bank reportingSupport the CFO in maintaining and strengthening banking relationshipsPerform and mange bank exams and inventory appraisals (quarterly)Annual BudgetLead the creation and coordination of the company's annual budget processCollaborate with department leaders to gather inputs, align on targets, and consolidate the planMaintain the budget model throughout the year and provide variance analysis against actualsPresent budget updates and financial performance summaries to the CFO and leadership teamTax Reporting & ComplianceCoordinate with Klean Kanteen's outside accounting firm to manage annual tax filings and reportingWork with our sales tax vendor to ensure accurate, timely sales tax compliance across all jurisdictionsPrepare and provide all supporting schedules and documentation required for tax preparationMonitor regulatory and legal requirements; escalate issues to the CFO as neededAccounts Receivable & Accounts PayableOversee, monitor, and evaluate all AR and AP functionsWork closely with AR staff to review AR aging analysis on a weekly basisManage routine AR and AP reporting and analysis with department staffWho You AreHands-On Operator: You don't just oversee - you do.
